Let's talk Jazz

Since this is a Jazz-n-bikes blog -- what kinds of jazz are you into? Since I've discovered Internet music sites Slacker and Pandora, I listen to jazz a lot more during the day. Been listening to piano jazz such as Ramsey Lewis and Vince Girauldi. Good music to work to.

On guitar - Pat Metheny, Joe Pass, Mike Stern, John Scofield, John Abercrombie,
Gene Bertoncini, Stanley Jordan

On drums - Mel Lewis, Jeff Watts, Steve Gadd, Herlin Riley, Elvin Jones, Max Roach, Buddy Rich

On bass - Ray Brown, Oscar Pettiford, Scott LaFaro, Ron Carter, Charles Mingus, Dave Holland, Stanley Clarke, Eddie Gomez, Jaco Pastorius

BTW - Rusty White and Peter Bouffard (the guitar player on Rusty's CD) are playing with me at P.O. Pears from 7:30-10:00 on Nov. 8 - come check us out if you have time.
