Jazz at P.O. Pears

Bored? Cabin Fever? Tired of riding the trainer or jogging on the treadmill in the basement? Writer's strike or oncoming recession got you down?

Come unwind and listen to some jazz - my quintet is playing Thursday, Jan. 24 from 7:30-10 p.m. at P.O Pears - featuring Rusty White on bass, Peter Bouffard on guitar, Steve Helfand on drums, Scott Vicroy on saxophone, and me on trumpet. Hope you can come down.

I can't promise anything, but I may swing down if possible. This cold weather crap is killing me!

Oh come on Kevin. You can ride on my handlebars, they're heated!

It was only 7 below zero this morning - prime commuting weather. Do your eyeballs freeze in place when you ride on days like this?

My eyeballs still haven't thawed and I have to look down to see if my toes are still attached. Funny I haven't seen more commuters with this prime weather we're having!

My eye balls are fully functional -- I haven't been on the bike in a week. I don't do ice/snow -- I learned my lesson on a sheet of ice in Tierra park a few weeks ago.

I will, however, try Janna's heated handlebars -- she is much more coordinated on a bike than I.
