What's wrong with Sunday afternoon instead? Doing this in the middle of the week might be a little tough to pull off. I'd be up for Sunday definitely. During the week is a little more difficult for me.
As a resident weirdo, I would be happy to do it on Sunday afternoon. I can't do it on the 28th or 29th in the evening due to a rehearsal and a concert.

Try gravel. Not sure if road bikes would make it to the Benson Farm once off of Denton road.
