Anybody else an Amazing Race fan?

Phil, the host of The Amazing Race, is riding his road bike across America and is scheduled to stop at SouthPointe Mall in Lincoln Friday at 8 a.m. You can ride with him out of Lincoln after signing a waiver on his Web site. Sounds very cool.

Check his video blog out on his web site. He looks like a pretty hardcore cyclist.

Are you sure about the noon time? I saw something that said it was 8 am at Southpointe.

Where are you seeing these times? I couldn't find anything specific.

I stand corrected. There is an 8 a.m. registration, then Phil shows and addresses the crowd and the you ride. This sounds like a lot of fun -- check out his video blog. I would do it, but I have a thing at work on Friday a.m. Somebody needs to do this with TEAMfire gear on!

I just got home from riding with Phil. I met up with him just west of Hastings and rode for probably 15 miles. He claimed to be suffering a bit today, but it wasn't obvious to me. We were going into a quartering headwind and he was keeping a pace in the 20-25 mph range. He is pacing behind a motorcycle, but I was still impressed by his riding ability. This is the 19th day of his trip and he told me this is the first day he has felt kind of bad.
